International Folk Art Alliance Curates an Extraordinary Holiday Pop-Up Market

November 21 and 22 at La Fonda on the Plaza, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Santa Fe, New Mexico, October 22, 2015
The International Folk Art Alliance is curating an extraordinary collection of work from around the globe for a Holiday Pop-Up Market. For two days only, shoppers and collectors have the opportunity to buy exquisite folk art treasures made by more than 29 master artists from 25 countries for sale exclusively at the Holiday Pop-Up Market at the La Fonda on the Plaza. This market is part of the IFAM | Online programs, which offer training and support to artists learning about business, while working to create year-round income opportunities and markets for artists.

Among the offerings will be wool and silk scarves from Kyrgyzstan, Kantha embroidered pieces from India, beaded jewelry from Kenya and Ecuador, and peace baskets from Rwanda. There will be painted egg ornaments from Ukraine and silver and gold jewelry from Spain and Kazakhstan, to name just a few. Children’s gifts and home goods will be available, too. There will be something for everyone, with prices ranging from less than $20 to more than $2,000.

The Holiday Pop-Up Market will take place in the New Mexico Room at La Fonda on the Plaza, 100 E. San Francisco Street, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. There will be paid parking available at the hotel and public parking available on the street or at the City of Santa Fe lots at 215 Cathedral Place and 100 E. Water Street. All purchases will come with a complimentary signature IFAA gift-wrap.
