In July 2023, the International Folk Art Market family will welcome 28 first-time Market artists to Santa Fe. These exciting practitioners of textile, ceramic, metal, beading, two-dimensional and three-dimensional arts will have the opportunity to attend IFAM’s Mentor to Market educational programs and to participate in our global showcase. Sponsorship covers international airfare and local U.S. transport, lodging, and IFAM’s Mentor to Market impactful artist entrepreneurship education programs. Your sponsorship will allow these artists to fully benefit, enjoy, and participate in IFAM artist-centered programs.
In 2019, first-time Market artists generated sales at IFAM Santa Fe averaging $10,000 in just 22 hours. 90% of these sales directly benefit the artists and their communities, empowering them to purchase land, fund health clinics, build schools, pay for school fees and books, and so much more to create positive social change in their home communities. Economic well-being also drives the continuation of deep cultural practices and provides the freedom that allows innovation to bloom. With your support, IFAM will be able to provide direct financial support for first-time Market artists who otherwise would not be able to attend.
