Join IFAM in collaboration with Collected Works Bookstore and Coffeeshop in welcoming local author Ann Murdy for a reading and presentation of her new book, “On the Path of Marigolds: Living Traditions of Mexico’s Day of the Dead,” a bilingual book that features nearly 100 photographs illustrating Dia de Los Muertos celebrations and remembrances in Huaquechula, Puebla, Teotitlan del Valle, Oaxaca and the communities around Lake Patzcuaro, Michoacan. “On the Path of Marigolds – Living Traditions of México’s Day of the Dead” received two book awards last year; the Gold Award with the Foreward INDIES independent books awards for the adult, non-fiction in the category of multi-cultural, an Honorable Mention in the category of art book from the International Latino Book Awards.
